Exploring combinations of insect growth regulators and entomopathogenic nematodes for integrated pest management of false codling moth, Thaumatotibia leucotreta (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae)

Project aims:

We aim to investigate the effect of fenoxycarb and methoprene, juvenile hormone analogs, on the development of the false codling moth (Thaumatotibia leucotreta) and explore their combined effect when EPNs are applied separately and simultaneously for their potential use in an integrated pest management programme in fruit orchards in the Western Cape province.
